My sister, Lucille, passed away today from cancer of the lung and stomach. She was was the oldest of us 7 girls, 18 years my senior ….

Ladies, I will be absent for a little while. Life has caught up with me and snagged me while I wasn’t looking. Best Wishes Everyone! I’ll be back …… if not before, than in the Fall when the leaves begin to turn and calm returns to the mountain.

Rosie, I am so sorry for the loss of your dear sister. I know that you will treasure all your memories of your many years together.
I am thinking about your words – the joy of new life tempered by the passing of another. Back in 1985 I had a sweet young cousin who was just approaching her 21st birthday. She was killed in an automobile accident by a wreckless driver. As we were just arriving to the area where her family lives, we passed a mailbox tied with beautiful pink balloons. I don’t know why exactly, but it gave me comfort. Life is truly a cycle. God lends us his precious creations to love while we have them here with us.
